Reactive Power Countermeasure Devices(RAPID)
-Models-
RAPID-1400/RAPID-800
Flickering is flashing phenomenon such as fluorescent light is flickering.
The effect of the voltage drop that occurs during startup and operation of the large motor load (*) causes flickering.
In case of operating a large capacity load machine in a place far from the substation,
sometimes countermeasures are required from the electric power company to prevent the flicker phenomenon.
Improving flicker with fast response control by using power device semiconductor (IGBT), the fastest response control is possible with the cycle capacitor method.
Features
· No discharge reactor needed
· Zero crossing is not entered, simultaneous three phases are input, single phase connection transition is not made for disconnection. Therefore, there is no capacitor voltage rise at the time of cutting at single phase transition.
· Achieved 1/1000 second or less from imput/stop command to imputting/stopping.
· It is possible to control (slow down) the current rise at the time of input and prevent sudden current fluctuation.
Besides the above, easy wiring connection and maintenance work are possible.
Moreover, it is an outstanding machine that also takes safety measures into consideration, such as installing a dry capacitor.
